Live Life the Nature's Way - 25 point guideline that has worked for me
Live Life the Nature's Way
25 point guideline that has worked for me
Depression - it is a real thing indeed !
Cause of which is generally to do with one's Career, Injury, Stress, Relationship, Financial issues, Character based Integrity, Self Respect, Credibility, Societal acceptance, Fear of Losing, Negativity, Corrosive-ness, Self Blame, External Blame, Loneliness, Low Self-Esteem, Unlovable Attitude, Incompetence, Lack of Skill(s), Disability (both Mental & Physical) and more.
How do you manage and come out of it - well, I have been through this thing a few years ago and it did take a lot of effort to come out. They key success factor is directly proportional to how well one is able to accept the worst instead of fearing and succumbing to it. The following in my view is what people must establish (or change) in them -
1) Look at
life from your perspective only - forget all the other's
2) Do not
allow too many people the privilege of making you angry, emotional etc
3) Make sure
your life has a clear, compelling Vision and purpose that does not change with
time (unless the change makes it better)
4) Establish
a list of things you want to do (bucket list) before you die (naturally
of-course) - be careful not to choose impossible and insane things as this can be another
reason to fall into that deep state, the more things you tick-off often, more
motivated you shall become with each passing day
5) Never be
alone - always be with people and keep yourself engaged. Be willing to do
anything for others and do not expect much in return
6) Sleep a
good 6 to 7 hours (at night), Eat less, listen to your body, talk and listen more, laugh excessively for no
reason, as much as you can interact with people, use social media to stay
connected - a lot of people do the opposite, I don't encourage that. If people
are not active on social media - the most powerful communication-cum-socialization system of this
era, I do not see how they can be active in the real world
7) Talk to
your garbage collectors, workers, domestic helps etc - basically people in the
low income range - identify some of their pressing problems - help them,
of-course you can. Like for example introduce Govt. healthcare systems to them,
Various Government schemes, Help them pay their bills, help them grow-up the
ladder in whatever possible way. Share, Play, Eat with them - all this improves
your perspective of life - shun other's opinion of what you must be doing
8) Always talk
truth no matter how bad or worse the situation may be - eventually things will
fall in place. Remember truth has one and only one version. Lies have many and
you cannot keep track of them
9) Apologize
every time and be the first one to do so - even if you have done nothing wrong sometimes
- this improves your character and self-esteem and bring other's close to you
10) Never
measure your life's attributes with others - financially, career-wise and so on
11) Kill the
ego in you. Remember there are millions better than you. And everyone is a
master at something or the other. Instead, Listen and Learn, Apply and Improve,
Observe and Ask
12) You have
an opinion about someone - tell that to THE person and not a 3rd party - this
change in you over a period of time transforms into leadership and boosts self
confidence as people enormously respect you for being genuine
13) Always
see the bigger picture - a bad day, a wrong conversation, a misunderstanding, a
wrong foot, an accident, a loss, a breakdown, an emotional moment can all seem
minuscule in the larger purpose of life - learn to let-go and leave what does
not add value
14) Every
creature has arguably the same rights - love the nature and its creations - you will
become honest and responsible. A cow or a dog on the road whilst you are
driving should not worry you. The road (a small chunk of this planet) is as
much the cow's or the dog's as you believe it is your's. Be nice to everything.
A few boulders on the road - stop, remove the boulders, clean the place, take a
pic, go home and sleep well - Optionally (like I do) post it on social media.
This improves your self-esteem. There are many small things like this
15) Grow
plants, plant trees, save water and resources - stay green and set examples. A better human emerges in you
16) Cook new varieties of food and serve. Make fruit juice. Make a cake, an ice cream, make chapathis, rotis,
clean the house, the toilet, wash clothes, clean your neighborhood and do everything that you would otherwise call 'dirty things'
17) Be honest in every relationship - be the shock absorber in the relationship than the shock creator
18) Love whatever you are doing and what you have, if you are not able to do what you love - this is possible, you have to make an attempt - remember not everyone can marry a Aieshwarya Rai !
19) Validate - the knowledge you have may be wrong or influenced by several factors. Be willing to change your opinion and therefore awareness, if a more viable and genuine information is available. At the same time, Don't let your intelligence get hijacked by external factors !
20) Money isn't everything, in-fact it is nothing. With each passing second, it is your precious life ticking away. Do the most important things whilst you are young and fit
21) Never cheat anyone, for once at-least believe in Karma - what goes always comes back and sometimes very harder - you will have to pay for every intentional mistake - one way or the other. Many people do not even get an opportunity to repent
22) Focus your life energies on achieving THE Vision and not to prove a point to someone - it does not matter to the person or to most of the people
23) You are in trouble - ask for help and be genuine in doing so - like the bollywood guy who pleaded for help and later thanked all those who helped him - that is a fantastic learning and experience for everyone - be open and use technology wisely
24) Help others - not with an intention that it will come back to you the next day or any other ill intention - genuine is the key. Give more and take none (ideally)
25) Be a true Global citizen - what is NOT meant for you is obviously not yours. Anything beyond your needs (acceptable) is a global waste - be it food, subsidies, benefits etc. By rejecting subsidies, you are helping alleviate poverty around the world. This makes you feel proud, Mentally strong and helps lead a proper responsible-cum-sustainable life
